The US District Court Prosecutors said its ok to extort, moneylaunder and obstruct justice as long as you’re a DEA agent.

Carl Force IV, the narcissistic rogue US Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) agent who pled guilty this summer to charges of extortion, money laundering and obstruction of justice, is set to be sentenced this Monday and the prosecutors are only seeking seven years.

While Force was apart of the federal task force that was in charge of investigating the online drug bazaar Silk Road, Agent Force was extorting money, money laundering and generally making a mockery of the entire DEA Agency as a whole. Abusing his unique position and insight for ill gotten gains.

The sentencing hearing will be held 3 days from today ( October 19th 2015) at the US District Court of California.

According to the outline layed out by the government documents the sentence “should send a message that this kind of conduct will be met with a harsh penalty in the form of a high-end prison sentence”.  But is 7 years really that harsh of a punishment for betraying public trust? 7 years doesn’t say “don’t extort money” to me. It says “its not that big of a deal”.

The following statement couldn’t be more true.

“Other government employees will look to what sentence Force gets as an example of what could happen to them if they were to betray the public trust,” Stretch wrote. “The message, accordingly, must be that this kind of conduct will result in a very lengthy custodial sentence.”

Where is the outcry? Why is it ok to send a kid to prison for life but a government agent who abused his power gets a slap on the wrist and goes to cupcake camp. This low of a sentence DOES indeed send a message to other government agents. That the government will always have their back. It says that extortion, money laundering and obstruction of government is OK as long as you are a government agent.
