According to a report published on 11 November, payments in cryptocurrencies would soon become the norm, first in Switzerland and then all across Europe. This came about as Worldline and Bitcoin Suisse signed a partnership for making crypto a thing of the everyday in Switzerland and elsewhere.
85,000 Swiss Businesses Can Now Accept Bitcoin
With recent developments, Swiss merchants would soon be able to carry out transactions in cryptocurrencies everywhere. This has been highlighted as the target of the two partnering firms– Worldline, a European market leader in payment services and Bitcoin Suisse, a Zug-based company. Together, they would leverage SIX Payment Services, the present Swiss payments infrastructure. SIX Payment Services has been a part of Worldline since the latter half of 2019.
A press release highlighted that the partnership between Worldline and Bitcoin Suisse is directed at “reinforcing the leading position of Switzerland as a strong center in the crypto-financial services industry.”
Zero Conversion Risks
The CEO of Worldline, Marc Schluep, said that through the enterprise, merchants all over Switzerland can benefit without bearing any kind of conversion risks. He further added that Bitcoin Suisse has developed an “extensive in-house technical and crypto-financial expertise through its more than six years of experience in trading, brokerage, and storage for cryptocurrencies”. He concluded that after winning crypto for Switzerland, Worldline would expand its network all over Europe.
On the other hand, Bitcoin Suisse’s CEO, Dr. Arthur Vayloyan, said that the partnership between the two corporations is an important landmark in the future expansion of cryptocurrencies in everyday life. This is not the first time that Switzerland is in the news for its crypto-friendly stance. It has been a country that has set an example through its amiable crypto regulations and its commitments to keeping up with the technological advancements.
